Port and terminal operations

Operational excellence at the waterline

The port interface is the most critical juncture in the energy supply chain. At American Chemical Tankers, Inc (ACT), our port and terminal operations are designed to minimize “turnaround time” while maximizing safety and cargo integrity. We act as the expert coordinators between international maritime arrivals and regional distribution infrastructure.

Maritime shipping

Terminal infrastructure and technical assets

Our partner facilities and managed docks are equipped to handle the unique physical properties of bulk liquid energy.

Time at the berth is a critical cost factor. We utilize high-capacity, automated pumping systems designed for rapid cargo evacuation

We employ all-steel, counterbalanced marine loading arms rather than traditional hoses where possible.

Cargo integrity and quality control

The transfer process is governed by strict “Custody Transfer” protocols to ensure that what is loaded is exactly what is delivered.

Our shore tanks utilize non-contact radar sensors to provide millimeter-level accuracy for inventory levels.

To protect the purity of Aviation Jet Fuel and Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel, we maintain access to certified laboratory testing at the port interface.

Intermodal synchronization

Our port operations serve as the central hub for the “last mile” of energy distribution.

Direct high-speed headers connecting the dock to major regional pipeline networks.

Integrated loading racks that allow for the simultaneous loading of railcars and road tankers, facilitating deep-inland supply.
